Week of May 11th.

MUST DO Assignment:

1. Choose a fiction (not true/not real) book you have at home or read on Raz-Kids.

2. Answer the following 8 questions about the story you chose. You can answer the questions in writing or take a video of yourself answering the questions.

What is the title (name) of the story?
Who is the author (writer) of the story?
WHO are the characters (people or animals) in the story?
WHAT is the problem in the story (what went wrong)?
WHERE does the story take place (in the woods, at home, in a school, etc.--the setting)?
WHEN does the story take place (month, season, morning, afternoon, night, etc.)?
WHY did the author write the story (for fun, to teach you something, or to get you to do something--author's purpose)?
HOW was the problem solved?

3. Come up with 3 of your own questions about the story you chose. Try to use the question words that I put in uppercase letters above (who, what, where, when, why, and how). You can share the questions you come up with in writing or take a video of yourself asking the questions.

4. Draw a picture of your favorite part of the story.

5. Post your video or your writing/drawing in a message to me on Class Dojo, in your Class Dojo portfolio, or in a private chat to me on Teams.

*Please remember to go on Imagine Learning AND Raz-Kids for at least 15 minutes each for three or more days during the week for a total of 45 or more minutes on each website. This is part of your MUST DO assignment to get credit for fourth quarter.
